Susan + Matt's Valentine wedding took place in the heart of Northern Arizona's wine country, Page Springs, at the breathtaking Dancing Apache Lodge. We had the entire 25+ acres for shooting this intimate affair, including the private lake with our own personal canoe. Since we were just minutes away from the gorgeous red rocks of Sedona, we took in a private jeep tour up Schnebly to the popular Merry-Go-Round view point for a sunset romance photo session.
"JB" Judi Bloomfield of Sedona Luxury Weddings, the expert wedding consultant for the lodge, arranged all of the beautiful appointments to showcase this lovely wedding for Susan and Matt, taking care of each scheduled detail for a perfect wedding day. The stars were aligned for this gorgeous couple, for the weather was a perfect 75 degrees, the moon was full, and the sunset could not have been more epic with the scattered clouds on the horizon.
Susan was the life of the party, with her enthusiastic, radiant expressions. She made everyone feel so loved, and never stopped smiling the entire day. The Sedona Beauty Team, Liz Margin, accentuated Susan's already amazing eyes, and gave her a chic "low-slung" textured bun that has become a bride's hit this season. Susan's gown could not have been more fitting for her personality: sheer florets in bubbly patterns, yet exquisitely form fitted for a classic touch.
Matt was pure fun with his quick, inventive humor. He took everything in stride, relaxed and calm right up until Susan walked down the aisle. Then, he weeped. And, of course the tears rolled down everyones face. We didn't want the day to end. By the end of the day we were one of the family, sitting around the campfire watching the full moon rise in the east, munching on late night pizza and ice cream cake. I think I have adopted this generous family from Ohio.
